The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, as other models do to map your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We like the statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move on whenever it comes across one.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific route.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although floor vacuum robot are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The control panel has an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hardwood floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
